PiTER won the second edition of the CIS LAN Championship following a 3-1 victory over Vega Squadron (16-8 on de_mirage, 16-7 on de_overpass and 16-9 on de_cache).

Only three teams remained in contention at the start of day four of CIS LAN Championship #2, with Vega Squadron and PiTER - arguably the two favourites going into the event - contesting the first spot in the grand final.

As expected, the Upper Bracket final was highly contested from the start, but in the end Vega Squadron ran out 2-0 winners, with only six rounds separating the two sides across the entire series.

PiTER win regional event in convincing fashion 

PiTER went on to beat Enso on two maps in the Consolidation final to set up a grudge match against Vega Squadron, who had a one-map advantage going into the best-of-five clash due to coming from the Upper Bracket.

However, PiTER were simply far too strong to handle, winning three maps without ever letting Vega Squadron hit double digits to get their hands on the top prize of $3,000.
